Physiotherapy, What is it?
Physiotherapists use physical assessments to diagnose and treat your musculoskeletal or neurological problem be it soft tissue, i.e muscle, ligament, tendon, disc or nerve or skeletal problems i.e joints, bones or spine. These can be caused by lifting accidents, injuries through playing or doing sports or outward bound activities, work related injuries, accidents at home degenerative age related changes, mobility or neurological problems.
A physiotherapist will use a number of techniques to improve your tissue healing, soft tissue and joint alignment and biomechanics. A physiotherapist will also prescribe suitable and specific exercise/rehabilitative programmes to aid your treatment and maintain consistency of outcome and prevent further injury.
